January 07 01/07/08Ok, time was not working with me today, but I did manage to walk 99.60 Minutes on the treadmill. It automatically stopped at 99.60 and I figured I would also stop.
Total treadmill time today: 99.60 Minutes, 611 calories burned.
This on top of the 8hrs of active work today makes me happy, I can sleep well tonight. January 06 01/06/2008 What has Rick done today to make himself proud?Okay, The week got off to a slow start. When I went to the garage this week for some "treadmill time", it had apparently froze up due to the Michigan arctic air. So I spent the week basically moping around I started developing a plan to move this frozen hulking beast of a tradmill inside.
Here is a running log of activities for the day.
Treadmill-
Session 1: 60 Minutes, 392 Calories Burned. Slow walk/really slow jog combination.
Session 2: 90 Minutes, 548 Calories Burned. Slow walk only.
I'm shooting for 4 sessions today or 4 hours total workout time. January 01 Why we decided to participate in the Million Pound Match-UpHow does one start? Well....Get off your duff and get moving! My wife and are happily married with one exception, our weight! We don't argue, we don't fight, we don't put eachother down, but we do eat and watch television a lot. We started watching The Biggest Loser last season and something "clicked" in our heads that helped us to realize we can do it too. The transformations were amazing and extremely motivating to both of us. We started eating healthier during the last season and have both lost over 20 pounds through better food choices and portion control. Now, the new season is starting tonight and so does the PAIN!
Ya baby, we're going to start working out! My (Rick's current weight of 275lbs.) weight loss goal is to lose 100 pounds. Karen's current weight is 277lbs. and her weight loss goal is to lose 100 pounds also. We plan on doing this by motivating and supporting eachother during our workouts and by adding an enourmous amount of exercise to our daily routine. Little changes will make the big difference in the end.
We should be able to win this challenge because we will be working hard in every aspect of our training and nutrition to make permanent changes to our lifestyle for a healthier and happier new year.
I will blog later with full length photo's and personal fitness goals. |
